Clocks dull on high beam
« on: 29 June 2016, 05:12:30 pm »
Hi guys, sorry I've not yet introduced myself however I shall do so shortly!

I just have a very quick question, I'm about to take delivery of an 03 fzs600 which the shop thought had a problem with the clocks dipping when high beam was active.

They have since seen another near identical fazer do just this - may I ask, before the bike arrives, is this normal for a late carb model?

Thank you!

Thom

Can't say I've heard of that as a common problem as not seen it on my 99reg or my mates 03reg. Has the bike been sat for a long time (meaning weeks or months) as it could be a low battery charge. They should check it but you will be surprised how the simplistic thing can be missed  :D

Oh what a way to join the forum... Turns out I misinterpreted the 'issue'.

It's nothing really. The mileage disappears briefly if starting the bike with lights on!
