Hi all,

Mine is the same colour. I think it's original.

Hey Captain, when was the last time you cleaned the bike  :pokefun - this is a Fazer forum dedicated to people who appreciate these bikes not just abuse them. Having said that, it is the Slow Blue model so can understand the camouflage effect  :lol .

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand, what happened to the headlight mod eh ??  ;)
Those are my principles...if you don't like them I have others.

It's definitely the orginal colour maybe just the lighting in the picture, thanks for the replies. I may just paint it black along with the front mudgaurd and rear hugger, has anyone else done this and if so can you put some pictures up so I can see what it looks like.👍

If the photo is making it look a darker shade then it will be Blue Metallic Cocktail 1. Code BMC1 as shown in the link from YamFazFan. This I believe is what is termed a candy colour, meaning the final shade depends on the base metallic paint, the depth of the semi transparent blue coat, and finally the clear coat all being correct. In short very difficult to get a perfect match. I am not a paint expert so description might not be perfect, but something like that.
The good news is you can get a reasonably close match using more normal paint and clear coat as long as you are doing a full panel and it is not up against an original painted panel. A belly pan and front mudguard fit into that category. Note I said reasonably close, it depends how fussy you are.

Cheers limax2 that's a big help, that explains why the painter I took it to is struggling to get an exact match

I've found a couple of photo's that show my 2001 blue boxeye against a bike which I fitted a later fairing to and resprayed the fairing and tail plastic to near match a 2001 blue tank. If you look at the sticker on the foxeye fairing you can see it was originally yellow. (I was too tight to buy new stickers so taped over them). The blue I used was either "Peugeot Azure Blue" or "Vauxhall Arden Blue code 291", but sorry, i can't remember which one.
P.S. I think you have to be logged into the site to see the photo's.
