Pilot Jets advice
« on: 21 May 2016, 01:43:57 pm »
Have just stripped and cleaned carbs. New o rings and gaskets etc. Not sure how to set pilot jets. Have set them so the tip doesnt quite protrude into the inlet throat.
Any advice before I refit them in bike.

Turn them in gently until they stop, do not force them, then turn them out 2.5 turns. That's it

set them at 2.5 turns out then warm her up and go for a run and do a plug chop :  ie: ride in 2nd or 3rd at about 5000rpm and hit the kill switch take plugs out and examine the colour  use the chart in manual as ref and adjust as necessary ( bit of fanny about but worth the effort )  :)
