Picking this up today
« on: 26 September 2015, 05:59:17 am »
Going on a fairly long road trip next year so my road warrior buddy decided to upgrade from his Fazer 600 to this  :)
Decent ride out to pick it up too  :D

Looks nice. It should be absolutely mint as it's pricey.

Good low mileage gen 1's are Getting hard to find now....yes, it is expensive but low miles and all the extras make it worth it.....I would buy it, have to haggle a little on the price though  :lol

It is very clean well cared for bike, new owner is very happy  :D
Met one of the former owners who had all the bits done including the Ivan touch  :D
He is a member on here too, never asked his user name though.
Long day but we'll worth it  8)

I paid 3.5k for my gen1 earlier this year, top money I know but the bike is a 56 plate with 8000 miles on & in near mint condition
I am well pleased with it, apart from the rock hard seat :lol but Tony Archer will sort that out for me over the winter
Enjoy your new ride :)

Cheers Tim

I personally think people on here talk down the prices a bit too much. (it should actually be the opposite)

Bikes will find there own market value (or be manipulated by dealers), but you often see them at £3.5K for a 2003-2005, in dealers without those extras.

I was looking at a new BMW this summer and was offered £2.8K as a trade in for my 21K mile 2004 American import.

Every seller wants as much as possible and every buyer wants it as cheap as possible, somewhere in between will be the selling price.

As long as you are happy with the bike just ride and enjoy.

Here is mine (and I am not selling it)

I agree with Nickodemon.....the fazer is worthy of much more and just because some folk got good deals doesnt mean that every fazer should be under priced.

I paid ott for my trx fighter....was difficult to even guage what it was worth....but i wanted it....and im really happy with it, that's the main thing.

I had Tony Archer do my seat, 1st rate job, just re foamed it, no gel, world of difference. When I went to pick it up I couldn't believe the job he had done for the price
