Hedgetrimmer 3 rebuild
« on: 04 August 2015, 08:04:43 pm »
So holiday out the way so heres the update

well it was decided that nicks frame was dented not to the point of non use but more a cosmetic choice dents in frame rails are not nice looking
it was also discovered that nick had been riding artound without a exup i guess since he had it as there just wansnt one there

so a newer frame was sourced and duly sent to powder cosaters engine was removed but 3 of the studs bust this was handed over to steve aka bristol banger for extraction this turned out to be bloody epic

new body work was sourced from various parts of the uk via ebay and sent to my painter for a retro speed block paint scheme in memory of hedgetrimmer 3

the offending stud removed and new stainless ones fitted it down to the cleaning and painting following previous post on the subject

if you are expecting some sorta mega modded bike its not going to be this one im afraid

seat was dispatched to diggers for resculpturing and recovering

newer headers with working exup sourced for 50 quid bargin

wheel were naff on nicks bike and rear had a dent so a spare set esetest had were put to good use and a deal done
these were stripped and also made there way to the powder coaters

the swinging arm was also replaced as there was a gauge in it from the exhaust or summat

i have 2 spare upper fairings one ready for primers one has small cracks and will need bit fiddling happy to sell trade

i need double bub screen
hugger
mirrors

more updates to follow
good l/h and r/h casings

I like the white wheels, I had a suzuki  GS 500e with them and they are very easy to clean --- only you have to do it all the while--- which I like to do. Unfortunately the bike was red so no very fast.
