Top box racks and Givi part numbers
« on: 18 August 2015, 01:00:59 pm »
I am looking to install a top ox rack on my 08 FZ1 but I am a little confused with Givi part numbers.
There are two numbers that I have found and they both look the same and are the same price.

Can anyone tell me the difference between a 365FZ and a 359FZ??

This is the 359

And this is the 365

The Givi arms on my 07 FZ1 have the part number 359FZ-KZ359, I have both base plates M5 and M5M. One base plate is for monolock and the other is monokey ( I think !). Either will fit the arms just depends on what topbox you want to fit.
Whilst both the pictures you posted show the same arms it also says on the picture that the "actual monorack arms may differ from the image".
But if you search for FZ1 monorack arms like you say both part numbers come up
The only difference I can find is that the 365 arms seem to be listed as for the  FZ1N model and there is different tailpiece unit on the FZ1N to the FZ1S so whilst the arms look the same there must be some kind of difference. .

Thanks for the info Slappy.
I ordered the 359 and they arrived today. Fitted like a dream.
Only problem is that the arms are touching the indicators and the number plate because of my tail tidy.
I will fit a few washers on the tail tidy bracket to drop it by a few mm and then redrill the number plate to shift that down a nit further but otherwise its all good.
