Recording TV programs
« on: 30 January 2016, 09:19:30 pm »
This has been bugging me for ages. I would like to record the re-runs of Top of the Pops on BBC4. I was thinking of buying a DVD recorder and connecting the recorder to the sky box via a scart lead and trying it that way. I know I will probably have to be watching the program whilst I record it but that's ok. Are there any gurus out there who can maybe advise me if this is possible and if not is there anyway I can record and keep. If it is possible to record using a DVD recorder what make kind of recorder would be suitable...I have no idea. Thanks...any advice much appreciated.

Not sure re recording via DVD recorder but I think I'm right in saying that there are programs that record live streams, that way you could record on your PC/laptop via the BBC Iplayer then transfer them to a disc
Complete fabrication, I didn't make it up!

Get a recordable freeview box.
