Matlock Bath Boycott?
« on: 01 June 2015, 07:31:27 pm »
Somebody has told me that bikers are boycotting Matlock Bath due to new parking charges?

Has anybody heard this, and where are folks gathering in Derbyshire now?

Not heard anything about boycotting matlock but I was aware they had started to charge for parking down the main street , the last time I was there (around september2014) we were told we had about 20 minutes grace  before being booked not been since

Very short sighted of the council to charge bikes for parking on main street.  If it keeps 10% of people away that's a lot of money for the shopkeepers.  Okay, cagers will be happy they can get a space, but with 4 bikes per car parking space (probably 6 allowing for a cars wiggle room) that's a lot less people going.
