Pads. HH or GG
« on: 22 February 2012, 10:59:43 pm »
hi guys,

I am fitting Hel lines on the rear this weekend and although I have about a year of life on the pads think this might be a good time to change. I do no track work and don't ride the bike too hard.

So what pads ? There is talk of a combo of  of HH on the from and GG on the rear. I don't want them to be to grabby so am thinking of GG on the rear and as the from is OK no change. Also as I have about a year or so of pad on the rear should I not bother and just run wi the HEL upgrade.

Cheers dudes

PS if you work for Enfield council they have an offer for free bike safe for employees for 3rd & 10th March.

One thing I'm interested in is brake disc wear. Now don't get me worng here! I'm also interested in safety and I've normally used EBC replacement pads, good in the dry but not brilliant in the wet, and Carbone Lloraine, good all round but wear out quick. I'm doing a lot of commuting so braking is infrequent but sometimes needed really quickly!

I've been told that organic pads don't wear your disc's out so quickly, any one had much experiance with this? Next time I might try Ferrodo as I've heard some good stuff about them.
