How much were they then...or how many miles you done.....im just trying to figure out whether to get some myself........but i wonder if theyve been worth it...18 months doesnt sound long really but if thats all year everybday then that aint bad.
Easiest way to go fast........don't buy a blue bike

I had originally hein gerckle stuff, never wear leathers, had them for about 3 yrs then had an accident,  got them.all replaced under the claim and had them for about eight years, goretex still good, some small rubbing from the velcro fastenings bit considering age, they are still good, please take note though, they were used fairly constant for about 5yrs then I took a wee break from biking and only used them maybe once a year for a day, but considering also they've been in the loft for that time, they are a good set. My gloves are alpinestar goretex too and same goes for them, even the velcro on them are like new, would buy same kit again, even if it only lasted me the original 5yrs

Have had some of  the same gear now for 10 years and still a lot of it is like new. Fact that I am now a fat twat and it no longer fits me may have something to do with it. :rolleyes
MT-09 Tracer for those who no longer can handle a BIG boy Fazer

8yrs if you count the 3yrs in the loft lol
But in the 5yrs I used them for thousands of miles,  they never let me down, and they still fit me :-) oh the boots are the same! Not even really worn on the sole.

I bought my textile jacket and trousers (Wolf brand) when I got my Fazer 7 1/2 years and about 48,000 miles ago. Still going strong :thumbup
