CARBURETTOR FLOAT NEEDLE VALVE SEAT
« on: 19 October 2015, 02:05:53 pm »
Can anyone help me out on this one i have purchased a needle valve and seat for my FZS 600 2000 model, on receiving the new replacement i have found that the hole in the new one {where the needle seats} is bigger than the original would this or will this make any difference at all?
Please see pictures

I could be wrong here but I don't think you can take the seat out on fazer carbs so I'd say you've got a seat off another set of carbs

So long as the new one fits, there shouldn't be a problem. It'll be able to fill the float bowl faster but that won't affect the final mixture fed to the engine. Remember to check the fuel level is correct.

Yes. They're held in fairly tight by the O-ring... which I've known to fail and cause carb flooding.
