Brake Line Fitting
« on: 28 October 2013, 05:38:55 pm »
I have the two line front setup - master cylinder to each calliper.

My question is when fitting these lines, each end of the line has a slightly different angle on them, does it matter which end goes where, or is it a case of just getting a good route with no kinks etc?

cheers
Nick

Just keep trying different ways then it'll suddenly look right.

Does anyone have any pics of how the 2 line setup connects at the master cylinder in terms of banjo angle and direction?
Many thanks

Here is my two line HEL arrangement.  I've got pics of the whole run if you need them.

That's fantastic mate thank you, I'm struggling to get my hel lines to sit nice without feeling like I'm twisting them?
The rear was OK,  but I'm struggling to get the front right? Between upside down, left and right caliper and then banjo  backwards or forwards  :(
It would be great if you more pics of the front set up?
Cheers mate

Here's a quick little video showing the installed lines. Maybe this helps you a bit?

Thanks kawasutra, I couldn't watch the video it came up as private?
I have done it now, just dry fitted the lines until I found the way they wanted to lay.
Slightly disappointed with the inconsistency of help branded heatshrink , sometimes on the top, sometimes on the bottom, and sometimes upside down.
Bike looks good and brakes feel good, but test ride is gonna be tomorrow  now.

Doh! Sorry about that, fixed now.

I didn't fit mine myself. Roped an expert friend into helping. Yeah, brakes are amazing since!
