White smoke coming out of exhaust
« on: 03 January 2015, 12:59:16 pm »
Hi guys
I recently noticed that at the start up I get white smoke coming out of my exhaust.
Is it normal or it's something I should worry about.
It's Yamaha fazer 8 2010 with 8.500miles.
Thank you for all your replies in advance.

keep an eye on your water level as it may be a head gasket leak but more likely just condensation mush

Are you using it or are you just abusing it by starting it up in the shed now & again???

Well I use it everyday, water level is fine, hopefully it's condensation then, I will keep an eye on that, thanks a lot guys.

It's just the time of year.

Combustion produces a lot of water and so this always gives white smoke in winter until the engine/exhaust gets hot enough to blast it out before it has a chance to form vapour.
