Radiator removal
« on: 07 May 2014, 09:34:22 am »
Morning all, I have reason to remove the rad on my boxeye, has anyone done this? I have the service manual but it's of little use in this case. Do I need to drain all the coolant or can I just catch the stuff that's in the rad
Any tips/advice greatly received, thanks.?

I dont think you'd need to drain all the coolant par.....but it would be good practice as you'll be needing to top it up and then bleed the air out of the system anyway so for all the price of some good coolant outta halfords i say drain it all out.

I did my coolant when i got my fancy rad hoses......then i did it again when i popped a hose off couple months ago by mistake....the bike will always welcome fresh coolant though.
Easiest way to go fast........don't buy a blue bike
