Well we are on the move again
« on: 10 January 2014, 07:28:45 pm »
We moved into this rented house in May,thought it was longterm.
Well it seems as our landlord, and or his wife have been accessing the accounts of dead clients at the wifes place of work, a solicitors. :eek

and rumour has it a substantial amount ,£70,000,00 ,,bloody hell.
Nowt in the news,,rumours even that they have paid it back,,,borrowed the money,,let their house out to us to pay the loan,,,now there is a for sale sign outside here.
So we are looking at a big 4/5 bedroom house, a bit rustic inside but have you seen the price of houses lately .
Orchard, sheds,, so all being well we should get it,,,we are ;ppking forward to it now,
I plan to get an older endure type bike,,for green laning, woods and also as a rough bike for short journeys.

At least you got the warning of the For Sale sign!

Years ago when I was renting, there was a knock at the door and the guy said he was a Bailiff who had come to repossess the house! Turned out the Landlord had been pocketting the rent instead of paying off the mortgage...

After a quick dash up to the Law Courts, we got 14 days to find somewhere else to go to :(

Well we have a new rental ready to move to, on the side of the A49
5 bed farmhouse, we have been painting there for the last two weeks, all of our spare time, it was a bit grimy, dirty.so its easier to do it when no furniture is in place.
It has an orchard ,good for my dogs to run in.
And also a locked garage, workshop.so loads of indoor room for my bikes.
We hope to move in next thursday.

After all that i can relax and get my bloody bikes out again. :)

Morning Slim.....quick question......why are you doing the redecorating and not your landlord.....unless its a long term lease and you have his permission to do so.

This landlord is known for no maintainance, cheapish rents, so start lease for 2 years,so while empty its easy to spend our spare time giving it a fresh look and smell, after all we gotta live in it..no problem really.

That looks amazing Slim. Good luck with everything.  I think my sister is up for that.
Is the orchard in good shape.  I know they get neglected which effects the quality and quantity of fruit.
