Never clean a bike. Ever. I bought a filthy Bandit, cleaned so much crud off it it turned out to be a GS125. true story.

No need to waste time cleaning a bike, the rain will do it for you

It's the thick film of crud on mine that is preventing new dirt getting to the paint and ruining it!

That's my theory too Stevie. I just keep topping up the dirt with another layer of WD40.

Don't get me wrong.  I'll clean it 2 or 3 times a year.  Whether it needs it or not.
