I just got a set for the car if they are any good I'll get some for the bike £45 delivered.

£26.59 with digital mini ballasts.

Same bulbs and ballasts but a different loom, mine are just plug and play no extra wire's to run to battery.

Good price tho'

my led bulbs arrived. i haven't decided whether they are better than standard bulbs or not, that will have to wait for some riding. the light is certainly different. the led bulbs are less focused in front of the bike but give more peripheral detail:

is it clean enough?

hmmm only a ride will tell the full story but that looks a little to fluffy to be of use on the road.

Just got today a set of philips 100% brighter bulbs. not been out to fit them yet but as i now go to work in the dark and return in the dark and its 45 miles a day i wanted to try to give me a slightly better edge. most of the roads to work and back are unlit.
to be honest the OE bulbs aint that bad as they have not been replaced since new in 2004. thats pretty good going :)

I find the standard headlights on the FZ1 are absolutely the best thing ever!!

But...

my previous bike was a square eye FZS600 :P

Then you will be delighted to know that the best can get even better! Seriously though, the standard lights are not bad, but until recently I would have always said that the Osram or Philips extra bright bulbs are worth every penny. However, this weekend I fitted a cheap as chips HID kit that was actually cheaper then the Philips. The wiring harness was for a car not  bike and it was a pain in the arse to find places to fit and secure all the bits, and it will probably fall apart ina couple of months, but bloody hell, HID for £25  :eek

ive got Osram night breaker plus on both my bikes.....honestly make a big difference.

Was chatting to bloke a while ago who had just got HIDs fitted, said it was like drivng with modern car headlights strapped to the front of his bike. But...he did say it makes him ride faster at night as he feels safer due to being able to see more.

Cheers, just bought from this seller.  I asked if he could send 1 x H4 and 1 x H1 instead of a pair of H4s, so here's hoping!
