« on: 14 July 2013, 05:52:20 pm »
Took my car test today even though I hate driving but wife nagging to take the family out so decided peace and less headaches ill do it. Had 5 lessons and examiner said im ready for my test.. arrived at test centre this morning, suns out feeling confident and away we go. 40 mins in everythings going swimmingly. Came to a junction with a blind bend right next to it on the way back to the test centre! eased out to try get better veiw of the corner F**K me crisis! a car came whipping round the corner in excess of 60 easily full of boy racers jacked up on wine gums! Heart in mouth as slammed on the brakes. Had to check examiner was still alive as he looked white and holding his breath with ten finger indentations in the dash... Everything now looks clear proceed. Pull all the way out BANG!!!!!!!. A F**!?NG police car straight into the front side of me also in excess of 60mph with his blue lights on in the daylight and no siren!!!!!! Fiesta now doing the waltz into a field with the engine doing summersaults down the road. T$*T got out of his police car ran over a first thing he said is wernt you looking!!!!!! Yes thanks we are ok you P*I%K!! We both walked away with only minor cuts and bruises but not once did I hear SORRY!!!! I definately know will never get back behind a wheel and these people are what are protecting our roads as they are advanced drivers....Biking is great and I feel safer on one....

Sorry folks rant over

From the police cars direction of travel there would have been a sign indicating a junction on the bend (or soon after it) therefore it would have been their responsibility to have the siren on.

Keep us updated on what happens with this!

If we weren't bikers and see this sort of thing daily we wouldn't have believed this . Not all "Boys in Blue" are advanced drivers as this proves the point. Sounds like a typical adrenaline/testosterone fuelled chase-ON THE PUBLIC HIGHWAY FFS! What sort of message are the police trying to give us ?  :eek

Not much need for that, the cops will investigate it regardless with it being a police collision. There's a black box in the car that records EVERYTHING including whether he had sirens on, speed, g force on the bend etc, etc.
I'm pretty sure you'll hear about it within a week or two.
If they didn't give you a log number at the time, phone up sharpish and ask for it. That way you can keep track of any progress. And its just unlucky that you were on your test. Glad to hear your ok though :D

Jeez! Glad to hear you're ok.

At least with the examiner in the car you've got a damn good independant witness if they start trying to blame you!

Staffordshire. I didnt think any driving test centres were open on a Sunday as examiners are civil servants, but you learn something new everyday.

Going to work the other night in town (30 mph road), a van in front, and a car in front of the van, and a blue Astra full of passengers at my back. Retarded Astra driver decides to overtake with an oncoming car (forcing himself between me and the oncoming car),  got stuck behind the van in front, and made it to the next roundabout (a whole 500 yards away) a whole 2 seconds before me.

Saw another today, a car trying to change lane with another car right next to him, trying to force his way in.

Some people should be shot in the face on grounds of stupidity, and others should be tortured, sent to hospital to recover, and tortured again.
