Hello again from Abergavenny
« on: 02 July 2013, 10:27:17 am »
Hello all , was a member on here before , bought a FZ6 s2 new in 2007 , still got it done 20,000 miles now ,use to tour with some mates at first and ride outs on weekends , last year I only did just over 1000 miles lowest ever ,partly due to the poor weather and no touring .
I am a mature rider (old boy) had bikes now for 40 years , also VW enthusiast so events in biking and VW take most weekend , I live in the Clydach gorge area of the Heads of the Vallieys A465 ,also have a Honda CD175 1973 vintage and do a bit of clay shooting when ever i can .
Have the ABS model fazer and have added a chain oiler, heated grips, rear rack and top box plus throw over panniers for distance touring and 12 volt under seat outlet for sat nav and mob charging .

Hey Hawkeye welcome back & nice to have another welsh foccer.

Sounds like you still have plenty fun despite being an old yin, thats the way to do it. 8)

Look out for a super fast silver FZS600 on a trailer going over the heads of the valleys tomorrow as i make my annual pilgrimage from south wales to scotland, silver is by far the fastest colour & so fast that it needs to be ratcheted down like a loony in a straight jacket! :lol .,the consensus on here is that the Blue bikes are the slowest so i hope yours isnt blue.

Always fancied to to do a bit more clay pigeon as well, did it once ages ago & it was a right lark.i did do some nice shooting up at Llanidloes start of the year though,.308 accuracy international shooting up to 800 yards & expertly dialled in by the instructor, £1 a bullet is stopping me get into that hobby though :eek .

Get some pics up of the beast, we all love some pics on here, its the reason we get up in the morning.! :)
Easiest way to go fast........don't buy a blue bike

S2 they remapped them to give more torque and added the ABS , dont think they had it on the ones before this , this series ran until 2009 i believe then layout of the clocks and shape of screen altered again then .

Welcome back. I rode down to Rhondda 12th June & hit blustery wet turbulent weather over top of Brynmawr(not unusual you say!) Was delivering my FZs 1000 to guy in Ferndale & I rode back on his pristine FZS 600. Stopped Bus Station Abergavenny for bacon butty & coffee. Nice dry run up 465 to Hereford then MONSOON to Worcester. Love Wales. Bike is called "Rhondda Red" (came from Bridgend when new)
