Our ride down to Mugello
« on: 16 June 2013, 07:29:19 am »
Well the day before going i got out the documents and NO MOT  :eek  , runs out that day, so dropped it off in the morning  with a note through the door ,
picked it up at 4 oclock, pissing down with rain,
home, water in my pants,, leaving for Folkstone in an hour, shooting rubber waterproof bottoms found and worn under my leaking wet suit, loaded up and rained most of the 230 miles to folkstone.

Next morning aranged to meet the other three at the tunnel;. i rode in checked in and found myself on the loading ramp to France, :lol

Switched the phone on quickly and rang them,,WHat,, :eek thet had done the same and were already the other side of the tunnel in a service station :lol .

It rained most of the way to our first stop on the French Swiss border but i was very dry except my boots,

Switzerland the next day was wet mostly and Italy was a washout, thunder storms and huge traffic jams around Milan
We were very pleased to get there safe and guess what ,, the sun came out and it never rained again, not even on the trip home.
