hex bolt at bottom of fork damper rod
« on: 16 June 2013, 11:34:00 pm »
Hi,
Can anyone tell me the M? size of the allen bolt at the bottom of the damper rod, please.

What length hex bolt do I need.
Bought all the bits to change fork oil and seals trying to get all the tools ready for the job.

The instructions on the old Yuku site didn't list any sizes of allens at all.

Not sure why you need a new one? The old one should be perfectly good.

8mm allen key. Thanks.

Sorry I don't want to replace the bolt. After reading back my post I can see where (Stooby2) thought I wanted to re[lace the bolt.

What length allen key did you use kebab19.

I took an angle grinder to an old 8mm allen key, keeping the longest part of the 'L' shape & it fitted straight into my impact driver. Probably needs to be about 50mm long minimum
