Oil Overfil?
« on: 02 November 2011, 07:14:21 pm »
When I serviced my bike I topped the oil up and started the engine for a few minutes and then the oil level was sat perfect. I noticed once the bikes been running for half an hour the window completely fills and stays full for a while, I've ran the bike for a few weeks with no problems.

Shud I drain some oil or just leave it?

i have now ran 2500 miles with it like this lol  :eek as in the morning after a run it always settled to the correct level.

I'm using Castrol power 1

I have noticed the exact same thing on mine.. but usually just shake the bike on the main stand and can see the top of the oil level that way. As long as its not drastically overfilled i dont bother trying to drain any, i did once and it took so little to get it down to the max mark it wasnt really worth the mess!.
