Went down to my local yamaha dealer today. The head technician was there from yamaha uk diagnosing a fault on a new machine. This man has 40years expertise's! I let him have a listen to my engine and the noise etc. he said if that was cam chain noise it would be a hell of a lot louder than that mate. That sounds normal to me.. He did also say if you hone in on a noise then it will send you totally mental..this from a top yamaha bod..

Pretty much sums up what most people have said; videos seem to really highlight some specific noises of the Fazers engine. It's very hard to hear your cam chain noise and its probably impossible when stood next to the bike - if it needed adjusting / changing you would hear it immediately and it would be clear as day :)

So, time to get out and enjoy it! :D

Dead Eye is right about video noise though, and i found that mobile phones highlight noises even more, which can be a good or a bad thing depending on whether you want to hear things or not?
