FZS600 Fairing Decals.
« on: 20 April 2013, 05:11:56 pm »
Just got my nose cone back from repair & respray and now looking for the decals that need replaced.

been searching through almost every site I can find, but cannot seem to find the stickers at the price that wont ruin me.

Managed to find :

http://archiwumallegro.pl/okleina_yamaha_fzs600_fazer_oryginal-1266431800.html

or

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-Genuine-Yamaha-Emblem-FZS600-FZS-600-5RT-28391-10-/360506633639#ht_3961wt_931

but looking for some thing a tad less expensive.

seen a number of threads on here about stickers but nothing exactly that im looking for.

Any other sources?

only source I had now tells me he needs the sizing/measurements - since its been resprayed, the decals arent there for me to size.

Have you tried Image Works, they do replica standard decals as well as race replica stuff. They did all the graphics for one of the guys on another forum's SP1. Not had any personal dealings with them but heard good things.

I've just done the same job and bought genuine ones from the Yamaha dealer. They weren't as dear as you might think, about about £50 for the 2 side decals and the small Yamaha one for the front.

Thought i'd throw a small spanner in the works before you spend any money.

had to replace a rear seat panel last year~ the genuine stickers come in a satin finish, rest of the stickers on my bike are over lacquered gloss(I presume that was done at factory)

I really couldn't face lacquering,(stuff allways runs on me) so a bit of a mismatch now.

The genuine stickers seem to be made of laminated layers, not sure how well they'll last without an overcoat?

Fairing decals should go on ok, the seat panel one was a complete pig due to the compound curves on the panel.

Just thought it worth knowing before you start.
