Dremel multi tool
« on: 27 October 2011, 05:50:55 pm »
Hi

I want  to get a Dremel multi tool but cant decide which one.....either the 300 (about £40) or the 4000 (about £70). The 4000 is basically more powerful but what i would like to know is.......is it bigger? heavier?....much more awkward to use?

Normally i go by the motto of more power is better, but I'm not too flush with cash at the mo so i don't want to be spending extra beans when i don't need to.

what do ya reckon?

Phil

I mind Deefer sayin to me years ago that he had burned out about 3 or 4 dremels and that the lidl or aldi one has lasted longer than any of em and half the price

I purchased a Dremel 8200 this year in order to cut off a rusted nut from the suspension likage on my '98 VFR800.  It worked at treat and since then I have used it a lot.  It's great for polishing up tranished fairing fittings.  Highly recommended in my opinion.

I got the Halfords one at less than half the price. Been fine - but to be fair I don't use it much
