Not many people tend to change the bars - may be worth searching other topics on the forum as I think this has come up once or twice :)

You could try turning the orignals upside down first to see how it would look and feel . It would also let you determine what kind of clearance you would have with the fairing on full lock.

FZ1's one doesn't fit. It is too low for the tank.

+1 for the 758's, or ultra lows as they're also known. miles better than standard bars for the FZS 600 :b

I was going to get some 758's myself until my mate got them on his bandit first and let me try them out, I know its not the same bike but the bars were definitely Renthal 758's and for me personally they felt awkward, the width was nice but they inverted a bit strange where you grip them I felt. Just thought I would be awkward for you  :D

I found them spot on for me as there wasn't quite as much sweep bending your wrists back. I've seen some Fazer 600's with road medium, and superbike lows which are a bit wider with similar sweep and height as standard I think.

Have a look on here and see what you'd like compared to your standard bars.

Yeah that is a nice little table actually, clearly shows the differences of all of them. I do want to swap the standards, I am not a big fan of chrome and they are a little narrow for me personally but I dont know I just found the sweep of his a bit far even though on that table they are less than most of the others. I think I will just get them anyway and angle them a bit more upwards than his were.

Superbike lows maybe? A bit more sweep than the ultra's, but not as much as the standard chrome things that I hate too! ;)

Doesn't really answer the question but I posted a picture in the following thread that shows the difference in sweep angle of my Renthals.

Renthal 758's mentioned on the old site, mostly as fitted to the 1000 but then the fairing's the same as the foxeye 600 even if the risers arent:

Someone else preferred Renthal 754s instead:

I had Rental 789 'streetfighter' bars with brace fitted to my old 600 but they fouled the RHS fairing on fill lock

I had a set of 790's that also fouled the fairing badly on full lock, it's a shame, because they were perfect for me on my Tiger 1050.

Here's a pic of my old red Fazer with ultra lows fitted.

I rolled them quite far back to make them cosy, and filed off most of the switchgear lugs so they still gripped the bars. I think mine 'just' touched on left lock, but then, my fairing wasn't exactly straight! :lol
