There is always one...
« on: 14 October 2011, 07:35:02 pm »
On the way home from work, minding my own etc. Filter of the m-way down the slip road and half way down out of nowhere I get a cnut up behind. At the roundabout junction we both pull away from the lights but I have position as we go round, again right up behind me. So at this point not only am I trying to navigate the useal idiots in cars by have to cater for fuckwit aswell...

I then take my turning and open it up, as I get to the bottom where the turning/sliproad meets the dual carrageway, again I have position. So what does matey do, 80mph+ up in the inside of a car to get in front of me and then carry's on accelerating at speed up the dual carragway weaving between cars etc. I easily & safely catch up and eventually pull up at the lights.

I get some crap about being in his way.... he's been riding since he was 15.... he will punch my light out... blah blah. My reply back, 'it dosent take a genious to see you were riding like a cnut', more verbal from him... but just ignored him at that point. So we pull away again, I get position again, again he is up my arse, but this time there is no where for him to go, further up the road after it widens up he is trying to act cool and goad me at which point I ignore and go on my way.

His bike, looked like a 2011 Z1000, but the twat was wearing a motorcross helmet with no eye protection... says it all.

Knob indeed. It's just not worth getting involved though, I would have just let him pass at the first opportunity and be done with it.

I've had a fair few bellends riding like that behind me but I just can't be bothered with them anymore.

Road Rash anyone? Where's me chain  :D

Same here, it's sad that people feel they have to prove themselves through their 'leet driving skillz' but it is best to let them get on with it rather than encourage them to take more risks and put themselves and others in danger.

I get it with car drivers too, I'll come up behind one and start planning the overtake but they'll notice that there's a bike in their mirror and they'll take off trying to prove their car is just as quick as a bike. If I follow enevitably they start taking stupid risks like crossing into the oncomming lane round blind bends so rather than contributing to a potential collision I let them have their 'victory' and catch up to them a couple of minutes later stuck behind another car and then leave them behind.

Sounds like he rode it like he stole it. May be worth mentioning the incident to the boys in blue.

As folk said, the only sensible thing to do, is pull over and let the idiot past at the first opportunity.    Those who threaten violence, are usually those hoping it doesn't come to that and are trying to intimidate you.  You can be sure if you lay a hand on him, he'd be onto the police to report an assault.

As someone said,  tag his number plate,  and report him.

It mucks your day up when you come across an idiot like that.
