ok......had the rear end apart.....wheel,swingingarm chain and shock all responded to a good degrease and clean,lots and lots of gunge on there,reassembled and adjusted the chain regreasing all the links on the way,the tight spot is worse than i first thought and in the "loose" position the chain still hits the underside of the swingarm
so bit the bullet and fitted new chain and sprockets
nice bling,bling....gold did
