Back in the Saddle
« on: 24 May 2012, 06:57:15 am »
Greetings all : )

After 20 years as a bike mechanic, and living a bike related lifestyle, I gave it all up about 7yrs ago to get married for the 2nd time and start a new life.

Big mistake!

So here I am, on to my 2nd divorce, living in a spare room and wondering what next. What else could it be, really?

Yes, the '98 Fazer (damage repairable) bought 23rd May 2012 is in the back yard, front end already stripped out and being checked over, rear plastics are being 'welded' back together in the kitchen. Engine is up and running nicely and the hunt is on for the new headlamps etc to tidy up the front.

Why the Fazer? When you have seen the abuse these bikes can survive, and the fun they can offer, they are perfect allround choice.

Expected OTR is end of June, then a few good shakedowns and off we go to the Bulldog. Happy days are here again : )

Welcome!  I am 64 going on 16, twice married, twice divorced, 2sons grown & flown. Now its 2 cats & the Fazer! I did have one fantastic lady in my life 2004-2008 but she sadly died of cancer. She had never been on a bike til she met this lunatic-we ended up touring Ireland and allsorts. The thing about the Fazer is every time I look at her it reminds me life is for living....So ENJOY YOURSELF :lol

Hi Trap, welcome to the club. Good luck with the bike although it sounds like you've got it covered. You don't say where you're from - will we be meeting you over the summer?

Hi and thanks for welcome  :)

I'm in the Aldershot, Hampshire area of UK.
As for getting out and about, I'll be trying to get to as much as humanly possible as long as work commitments allow.

Cheers
