New Battery Time
« on: 15 October 2022, 07:46:41 pm »
Just wanted to put this out there for anyone else wanting a new battery....
My one finally died (been on the bike for about 6/7 years so not done bad)
So i looked online and found Tanya batteries, and ordered a new YT14B-BS thursday evening and it was delivered friday lunchtime
Excellent service and cheaper than Halfords who couldnt deliver until next week.

I normally do a quick check, MDS , Tayna and Ebay.  Occasionally Halfords have offers on Yuasa batteries.
I tend to check Tayna ebay site, sometimes can be cheaper and include free postage than buying direct from Tayna web site.
6 or 7 years is good for a Yuasa but then when you pay half the price and the other make lasts half the time, depends if you want to change more often.

One thing, I have contacted Optimate as my Z750 battery went down, the old optimates do take some life out of batteries if left connected but not turned on. Mine was connected but I turn the garage power off when I leave for safety.

I'm not a fan of Yuasa batteries, had a few of them as I kept forgetting how bad they were, tend to die if you let them go flat and they don't recover.
Gone for Exide this time.
