handlebar risers

hi all
just toying with the idea of raising my handlebars slightly.
anyone done this ?
what difference does it make ?

...hi enc!..i put 30mm risers on mine and yes it has made a dif,more upright and less stress on wrists etc!! got mine off ebay think i paid a tenner ;)

Any issues with clearance of the fairing, or does it move the bars slightly back as well?
I have thought about it as well but not really pursued it.

No issues with fairing as if you look at your current risers they are attached at an angle so it pushes the bars further away from the fairing.
