Not too sure if that is needed, asked a couple of guys in the know who recon that it shouldn't make much difference However I'm pretty clueless when it comes to stuff like this so maybe wrong. The baffle in this silencer is designed to be removed easy using one screw so not too sure how much of a difference running without will make. I can pop it back in in a few seconds if it runs like a bag of nails.

I have a Pipewerx Sports can on my FZS 600 and there is no difference in the performace with the baffle in or out. The can is marked with the road legal stamp but it needs to be in place for the MOT.
The pipewerx baffle is held in place with one Allen screw/bolt 30 second job in or out.

Carb balancing can go out a bit with the baffle removed vs the baffle fitted due to the freer flowing exhaust gasses reducing the back pressure. If you plan to leave the baffle out, its worth doing.

carb balance wont make any difference the vacuum is done at the carb side not the exhaust side so it wont make one bit of difference
