Hi all. Have just fitted a new rear master cylinder and it will NOT bleed properly. Mot is due now also so what I want is if anyone knew of an mot and repair shop combined in the cardiff area that is TRUSTWORTHY. Have rang around loads today but to no avail.
Place I used to use for the last 8-10 years B and R Motors have closed and boy do I miss em....
any help much appreciated.

How are you bleeding it? Is the reservoir 3/4 full
Pump the brake pedal hold it, keep pressure on it, loosen the bleed nipple and close the bleed nipple again while the pedal is dropping, pump the pedal and hold it and repeat the process. Keep topping up the reservoir to 3/4 full.

And don't forget there are two bleed nipples on the rear caliper if you're bleeding that as well.

Thanks falcon and unfazed yes I know about both nipples and I am doing everything correct and I have been pumping pedal and topping reservoir for hours off and on but nothing is happening. There is a little pressure on the pedal but not full pressure....sweat pouring down brow and knackered from working on it...it is not working !!
Think it needs vacuum pump !!! do not have one and do not want to buy one for a one off job.

Thanks Whale I think it will be easier to go to bridgend ( I'm in barry ) that has that  damn Yamaha dealer ( forget name...).

Push the piston back all the way and get something solid to hold them there.

Bleed them again.

f there is still an issue try bleeding from the banjo on the master cylinder first. Same method pump hold and loosen the banjo bolt.

Try :

1) remove rear caliper and secure it above the master cylinder. Helps the bubbles rise to the top where you are bleeding.
2) reverse bleed. Get syringe full of clean brake fluid and push it through from the caliper end (both bleed nipples).

Also as unfazed said, push the pistons back into the caliper first (and wedge them) so there is less room for bubbles to hide!
