Hello from not so sunny Devon!
« on: 09 May 2016, 02:24:08 pm »
Hi all,

As I think this is the done thing on here I am introducing myself. I'm 36, I've been officially riding for 3.5 years but used to tinker around with smaller bikes when I was younger I never got my license. I started out on my Kawasaki ER5 which I trained on and later bought from the training school, it was only supposed to be temporary but I ended up keeping it for 3 years. It wasn't the prettiest of bikes but was a good workhorse and served me well. I have now sold it and spent the last couple of months holding out for the right FZS600 to show up which it did at the weekend so I hot footed it up to Dursley and had a nice sunny ride back down to Plymouth yesterday.

I'm really happy with the bike, it's been immaculately kept and only done 12K for a 15 year old bike!

Coming from the ER5 there is a huge difference (to me anyway) in the available power in this bike. In the short time I've been riding it, it just seems to keep on giving and there is always more power there if you need it.

I have only one small gripe so far which I will raise in another thread in the appropriate place.

Cheers, Simon

welcome to the site

thats a nice looking bike you have there, shame its not in the fastest colour :eek

I think a set of clear indicators and tri-oval can would just finish it off a treat :lol

Thanks! So then what is the fastest colour? The other blue? ;)

I saw another bike on here with clear indicators and so have already put them on my wish list, surprising what a difference they make to the appearance of the bike.

I need to start a separate discussion about the others bits I want to consider changing such as seat and end can and also preserving the condition of this bike since it has already been sat in the car park at work for the past 4 days getting rained on  :'(  I will try and find the appropriate forums to post those questions in if they haven't been asked already.

Cheers

the fastest colours are obviously red and black combined, blue and silver are the slow ones :rollin
