Faint Clocks
« on: 15 March 2016, 09:37:38 am »
Hi all,

I was riding my bike to work today and noticed that the clocks are really faint? some you can see better than others?
I did wash the bike Saturday but normally try to not get to much water around the electrics? it is stored outside though under a cover?
I took the clocks off this morning and trying to dry them out, as I noticed a small hole in the bottom and a few drops of water came out?
Someone mentioned putting the clocks in some rice or something to help dry them...
The last thing i need to do is buy new clocks, so hopefully this can be fixed easily..
Has anyone had any experience with this kind of thing or had it happen to them??
thanks

What year is your bike got a 08 FZ6 S2 with fading clocks, although now work at times then fade.

What bike is it? Your profile says "Main bike: FZS600 98-99"

If it is an FZ6, it may be the backlight on the clocks which isn't working properly.
