Any good fibreglass people on here?
« on: 04 October 2015, 10:17:59 pm »
I've damaged my bellypan and require it fixed.

Willing to send it to someone or would I be better trying to do it myself? If doing it myself, has anyone any tips?

Also wondering if a fazer 1000 bellypan would fit a fazer 600 (98)
Cheers

Loads of help video on YouTube but unless you really want to do it yourself it maybe more hassle than it's worth and even the smaller kit's aren't cheap. Then you'll be needind paint etc.
May work out cheaper to buy new or ask on here to see if there's one up for grabs
Your choice of course  :)

I've only done a very small amount of fibreglass repair and that was years ago so can't remember exactly how it's done.
Yes the repainting is also another thing to consider.
Thankfully a kind guy :) has already PM'd me and is going to give it a go for me.

Wasn't being negative, just sometimes what seems like a little job ends up costing an arm and a leg

Good luck getting it repaired  :)

I didn't think you were being negative, it's good to get another view, I may have rose tinted glasses on and not see from.a different angle, your thoughts were good, thanks :thumbup
