« on: 05 September 2015, 09:56:40 pm »
Would anybody be interested (price dependant) in a stainless steel gear change tie rod thingamejig.
I've just sent an email with the dimensions of the corroded stock one and awaiting quote.

This is for the rod only

It looks like the previous owner cleaned it and the lever etc with caustic, in pretty bad shape and besides it could be cheaper than a replacement from Yamaha.

Received the quote for the part today. approx £13.00 inc VAT which I thought was quite reasonable, unfortunately the components are manufactured in Switzerland and delivery by UPS bumps the price up to a total of £38.00 :eek

Unless theres suddenly loads of interest I guess I'll be reaching for the alloy polish

I wonder how much a rose jointed rear brake caliper torque arm would be............ :D
