HTF do I get at the plugs on a Gen 1. Went change them yesterday, took one look (in fact I nearly lost my plug socket down the hole!) and thought - that has to be designed by a Brit
.
Sensible answers please. (Yes I had the tank off)

Use the plug spanner in the toolkit with a 14mm open-end wrench to turn it.
I also use a magnetic pick-up tool to pull the plugs out when they're unscrewed and to position them back in the hole afterwards.
Fiddly but not impossible.

Thanks - you have no idea how many goes I had with my standard tool kit - little did I know the secret was under the seat
