Power Commander V 22-030 vs 22-015
« on: 11 August 2015, 08:26:07 pm »
hello foccers!!

What is the major difference between the PCV 22-030 and the 22-015?

Can the 22-030 be used on a pre 2010 FZ1?

Cheers,

Charlie  :smokin

I was hoping it was more to do with the 02 optimiser you get with the 22-030... As for the avatar.... Hopefully you'll remember all the posts i put up on here on my fzs600 aka the beast... Well that is her.. Just not ready to let her go yet!!  :rolleyes :lol

I do still miss my 600.....in non crashd state that is......but life moves on eh

Theo2 optimiser is good for all of the range so i woldnt have thought that was the difference.....i have one on my 08 model.

As far as i know there werent any major changes across the range but im guessing it is something like a slightly different connnector on the newer ones......we need someone to try it and see.............ahem....."someone" ;)

Well it looks like I've volunteered myself... Also have modded flies, lars air box mod, k&n and AIS blocking all to do at once... Going to be a busy weekend!!  :smokin

I asked this question a short while ago, I still don't know the answer other than the O2 plug in the 030 kit but what I can say is since asking I have seen a 2008 bike with the 030 kit fitted and the bike was running fine. All plugs etc were exactly the same as the 015 kit I have on my 2007.

Looking at our counterparts website at the other side of the pond it does like the only difference is the base map and to be fair with mods I'm doing I can't run on the base map and will need it setting up on the dyno... Only one way to find out and that's do an install... I can always remove it if the stock ecu throws a wobbly!!  :lol

Well it's all fitted... And she runs well... What I have found out is this... Even though on the box it states model 22-030 when you actually open the model details on the module with the PCV software the module is actually a 22-015... The only difference between the two boxes is that the 22-030 comes with an O2 optimiser which also works with an 08 model... So,if you guys spot a 22-030 for sale on fleabay for 2011-2015 models it can be used on the earlier models like my 58/08.

Will report bhp gains and performance once she's been on the dyno and dialled in correctly.  :rollin
