Fz1n value ?
« on: 10 July 2015, 06:50:03 pm »
Hi all
I've had my Fz1n 2 years now, and love it. Unfortunately I don't get to ride it as much as I like, plus I spend bike time rebuilding two stroke Yams as they are my first love. Anyway, I am tempted by a new stroker project, and not having kept an eye on Fz1 values, wondered if you fellas could give me an idea of what mine would fetch if I decided to sell. It's an 06 with 12300 miles, although it has a private plate fitted;

The previous owner spent a fortune - forged ally Dymags, Rsc steering damper, PowerCommander 3 with custom maps by Big CC - dyno sheet states 143bhp, Ivanised, levers, chainguard, crash bobbins, etc etc. Fresh MOT, its virtually mint and sounds awesome with the Racefit Growler pipe. Had a quick look at prices but I'm not sure what difference the mods make. Any ideas ?

Cheers

Dusty :)

Dusty...worth is very opinionated

It is a nice looking bike

The wheels are big ticket items but unlikely to get you any more many selling as is......perhaps taking them off and replacing with a standard set will gain you money but is messing around.

In the interest of answering your question then isd say that £3000 is a realistic price for a private sale but even then i bet it takes a while.....ive got nothing to gain or lose by saying that...just my gut instinct reckoning really.

Hi
Thanks for the thoughts guys. I know from my own experience modded bikes don't always make the sum of their parts. I love the bike and wouldn't let it go cheaply, so will probably hang on to it and try and fund my 2 strokes another way. Thanks for the input ;)

Regards

Dusty :)
