Bearing codes
« on: 20 March 2015, 05:08:05 pm »
I have a bearing in need of replacing (not on bike) with  6003DU8 stamped on the cover.  What does the DU relate to?
What is the difference between the DU bearing and the  6003 2RS. The sizes are the same.

Also I seem to remember there was a bearing supply catalog posted a while back but I can't find it, be a great help if there is one available
Cheers

Outer diameter D    35 mm
Diameter d    17 mm

Does it mean deep groove?  RS might mean rubber seal?

2RS means each side of the bearing has a rubber seal.

I think the DU is the shield material, but explanation in above. If the bearing feels anything but sooth it will not last long.
