They are the rubber type rather than the plastic/vinyl material.

Turns out they were nitrile not rubber :rolleyes.Guess that's why the vulcanising solution didn't work!.Oh well you can only go so far with scrimping,saving & thrift I s'pose.Just have to splash out on a new pair...does anyone know if Poundland have a January sale?...oh & the bulb went in me torch when I was reading the paper last night (had to finish it stood under the streetlamp),has anyone had any success refurbishing lightbulbs?,on second thoughts no worries,this birthday cake candle is chucking out a good bit of light + heat as well :sun
