A sad affair.
« on: 03 October 2014, 08:00:33 pm »
Unfortunaltly a friend of mine was killed on his motorbike the other day.

for a few days the story was very odd, at first there was a search for a woman in a hatchback car, alledgedley committing a hit and run, rider left to die,

then the next day the police are not sure if any other vehicle was involved,

now last night a young lady has been arrested about 80 miles away.

Chris as we know him died while people tried to save him :'(

he has a wife and two kids, vey sad,,,now Cris was a very safe rider, liked a bit of fun but he really was careful so what happened is a mystory,, perhaps why the girl drove off..guilt ? fear of something. i dont know,,maybe she will enlighten us.

a very sad time.

Very sorry to hear that Bill :( .

Was that your mate with the ZZR?

On my other post i detail a girl doing her coursework behind the wheel today.....plus a HGV on my side.....i also had a close shave when i came rolling round a corner to a big train of almost stationary train of traffic behind a tractor.....thank the great lord foc that my brakes were warmed up coz they were being fully utilised & was contemplating a down the middle venture before i managed to halt it....ok so i was squirting about ill fess up & had i been fully road rafted & rospa'd up then i of course would have been so much more boringly sensible & proactive.......buuuuuut.

Luckily i dont ride every day because the odds would be against me if that's what happens on a small day trip.

I propose a toast to your mate who passed away while doing something he enjoyed.....to Chris.

Sad to hear it Bill, never nice to lose a fellow biker, but I know from experience how it hits when it's someone you knew. Thoughts with his family, and of course, his friends.

Very sorry to hear. I've also lost good buddies in this way and it always turns my stomach. "There but for the grace of God go I" and all that. Sorry for your loss and thoughts to his family. I also have a riding buddy in the same area. Go safe everyone.
