Bung-less Crash bung
« on: 02 October 2014, 09:57:18 pm »
Was pootling along the dual carriageway (70mph max m'laud) on my way home tonight when  I felt something hit my left foot. Thought it had come off the car in front but when I got home I realised it was actually the bung from the LHS frame crash bung - so I'm now left with just the blue backing plate  :o

Don't spose anyone has a spare bung - or knows if you can buy the bungs separately?

did you lock tight them when you fitted them?  you might be able to find a pair on ebay.

I've only had the bike a couple of weeks and they were already fitted. I'll need to check the other one and do a check round all other bits that may fall off!!!

  • Happened to me once, thankfully I was filtering at the time and able to go back for afterwards.
  • Its just a black nylon bobbin, you could take the remaining one you have left to a machine ship and get them to make a clone, then just remove the Yamaha sticker so the bobbin then match etc.
