Jumpy gauge

When the fuel tank is full the needle shows full and is stable, when it starts to drop it waves around quite alot. Is this most likely a dodgey sender unit?

Probably just the fuel sloshing around, mine moves a lot under acceleration and braking.

Thanks guys. Not sloshing, its like an electrical switch being flicked on and off. Have checked and cleaned connectors and they seem ok. I know what mpg its doing, so can go by the trip, its just annoying having the needle jumping about.
