As far as I'm aware the carbs never changed on the fzs

Previous owner of my bike buggered about with the carbs - split diaphragm in 4, and random collection of harware underneath (holding the float chamber on). If I can get a set of carbs cheap (really cheap), I might cannabalise diamphragms, harware etc to make 1 working set.

According to the Haynes book of lies, the fuel level changed by 10mm in 2000. No other change listed.

Ok, I see where if they're a different set and you cannibalise you might have issues, but at the same time probably not!?
