I suppose if one might be so unscrupulously inclined to, it may be tempting to take out a years policy and then cancel it at the end of the (normally) 14 day cooling off period for a full refund.... But that would be both wrong, and very naughty!

I used flexi cover. I never had to claim, but they covered me for my appetite for "extreme activities". Motorcycling, Bungee jumping, skydiving, the nurburgring and mountain biking were the ones I needed, but the list of included activities is long and motorcycling is on there.
As a wew footnote, the Hardknott pass was fine last month. Your concerns about the weather and time of year were (thankfully) not required.
Not quite sure what to do with my early mid-life crisis. Ideas on a post card to P.O.BOX 150...

I've used these a few times  http://www.navigatortravel.co.uk/motorcycle-travel-insurance/
Fortunately I've never had to call on their services so I can't comment on that. As well as cover for motor cycle trips they also provide cover for old timers, which is important to me  ;) .

Thanks for the replies , used Flexi -cover  £23.00 single trip european cover 2 weeks. Phoned and asked about the size of bike they were covering me for , no worries for the FZ1.
