After a cheap 2nd bike

Right guys after a cheap second bike just as a work commuter really dont want anything snazzy. £500-£700 budget what u think been looking at gpz500's,bandits etc any ideas or anyone got anything for sale? doesnt have to be pretty  just a runner not a bike in bits.Thanks.

GS500e, had one as a commuter a few years ago, picked it up for £450, and it ran on, and on, and on, and...............etc

Quite good fun too. Simple bikes, easy to maintain, great on fuel.
Stop polishing it and ride the bloody thing!!

ER5 is the other obvious one, same engine as the GPZ I think? Water pump seals on higher mileage bikes is the only issue I can think of - it's a mechanical seal, so not the cheapest item, but not the worst problem in the world either.

CB500 would be great, better finish and longevity, but tend to hold their value better for that reason.

XJ600 Divvy, NTV650...both cheap, comfy & go on for ages!!
Those are my principles...if you don't like them I have others.
