My top tips for changing the rear wheel bearings.
1. Remove the left (sprocket side) bearing first. Reason being the spacer between the two bearings has much more clearance on the left side and will move over more to give a better face to get at with a bar through the right hand side bearing.
2. Well before fitting the new bearings put them in the freezer to cool. Heat the bearing housing up with a hot air gun and with care, speed and a bit of luck the bearing will just drop into place.
3. Don't forget the middle spacer before putting the second bearing in.
4. Check that both bearings are seated by feeling with a finger to check that the middle spacer is not loose.
4A. Health and safety warning learned from bitter expeirance. Let it all cool down before sticking your finger through the bearing to feel the spacer
