Givi Panniers etc.
« on: 03 November 2013, 09:41:20 pm »
Hi,

Anybody had any experience fitting a Givi PLX351 kit to the FZ6? I want to get the V35 panniers and I know this is the fitting kit you have to get but I am a little confused about what you have to do with the rear indicators when you fit this rack. Anybody know?

Thanks,

Ollie

I've got them on my FZ6, but I ended up getting the Stealer to fit the brackets to the exhaust because it involved dismantling part of the back of the bike and since I'd only recently bought it, I didn't feel confident doing that.

I don't know if they've improved the design (I got them about 5 years ago), but on mine the indicators are now mounted underneath the Top Box rack, however I had to get some extra wire to extend the connections as there wasn't any included in the kit.

I fitted a set of these in about 2010, pain in the aris they were, as said there is a bit of dismantling to get them to fit, the indicators get affixed to some brackets, you should get those with the kit including the wires!
I will post a picture of it in the morning if you want, as the bike is stored at work!
